BTE engineering has many years of experience designing shielding enclosures for very demanding applications. But even more importantly we have years of experience designing the payloads that go inside the enclosures. So when it came time to design the Fuligin we knew exactly what we wanted. Yes, we were going to make an enclosure with phenomenal shielding effectiveness, but it had to be usable and manufacturable. It needed protect the payload from mechanical shock as well as EMI. It needed to accommodate standard 461E compliant connectors and have an easy way to reject heat. It needed be to be easy to assemble and easy to maintain the payload.
